Manalee Surve, PhD

Manalee grew up in Mumbai, India called the "City of Dreams". Her strong interest towards uncovering the mysteries of biology propelled her to pursue research. She received her undergraduate degree in  Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Navi  Mumbai, India and joined the Ph.D program at the Dept. of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. There she studied pneumococcal intracellular life during infections. She joined Rajagopal Lab in 2019 as a Postdoctoral Fellow to further explore infections and diseases in lungs.
