Kilang Yanger, PhD 

 

Kilang is from Kohima, Nagaland, a small tribal state located in the northeast part of India. She obtained her PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine.

 

What drew you to your field?

 Trying to channel my endless how, why, where questions about biology into a constructive obsession for human medicine.

 

What do you do when you’re not in the lab?

 Attending music concerts, trying out new food recipes, traveling.
